iPhone 6 rumoured to be unveiled next month

Apple fans prepare for what is predicted to be the unveiling of the iPhone 6 next month.

Apple has revealed that they are holding a press event on September 9, and it is anticipated that this will be when the technology giant launches its latest device. Traditionally, Apple releases a new device around the same time every year and experts have speculated that the new device could be available for preorder on Friday 12 September, with the handsets available by September 19.

As usual Apple is being secretive about any new devices, but leaked photos indicate a protruding camera and scratch resistant embedded logo. Rumours also indicate that the iPhone 6 will have recessed volume controls, a durable sapphire display, slimmer frame and rounded edges. Analysts predict that Apple will unveil two different size handsets, a 4.7-inch version and one with a 5.5-inch screen.
One thing’s for sure; any new device from Apple will be powered by the new iOS 8 operating system. The eagerly awaited iOS 8 promises to provide the most natural experience yet, providing streamline enhancements and brand new features. Boasting an enhanced Messages App, new smart keyboard and intelligent health and fitness feature, iOS 8 is thought to be Apple’s biggest iOS release ever. With no official release date for iOS 8, it is anticipated that the new operating system will be launched to the masses during the September 9 press conference.
